Hello people, I just purchased a Samsung SGH-T309 because I lost my other phone on new years (excellent way to start a new year). Anyway, I have all my contact numbers stored on my computer and found that I needed another program to transfer my phonebook to my phone, so I downloaded PC Studio PIMS and File Manager 1.0 from the samsung siite. I was using EASYGPRS before. I exported my numbers and imported them into the new program.
Now my problem is that when i connect my USB cable to the phone, nothing happens. When i turn on the program, my phone beeps and starts to charge. When closing the program, i get another beep and stops charging. I want it to sync with my computer so i can transfer the numbers quickly.
Can someone help me with this? The USB drivers are working, the cable works, but does not connect or find the phone.
Please help ASAP.

Am I right that you are using the same cable that you used for your other phone which is not T309? If so, it could be that the cable is not compatible to T309.

That is correct, I had the E715 before...the cable does fit the port though. Well, i will buy a new cable then if that is the problem.

D500 / D508 / D600 / E350 / E358 / E730 / E738 / E760 / P735 / T309

did anybody get their connection to work. i have the usb cable for the D600 and it doesn't seem to work w/ the PC Studio PIMS and File Manager 1.0 since there's isn't an option to choose USB for a connection. I tried using the PC Studio PIMS 3.0 and that doesn't work either, although it does recognize the phone.

Nope, instead, i did mines the old fashion way. It sucked, but whatever. I tried buying the wire as well and it did not work. I guess the only way to get it to work is to buy it directly from the samsung site. But for my background and ringtones, i put them on my website and used the t-mobile internet to download them to my phone. It worked pretty well that way.

I just bought the cable and software to transfer files with my T309. PC Studio I think its called. When I connect my phone, it beeps but nothing else happens. I go to a connection option, select USB and click connect, and still nothing happens. Can someone help me with this, It'll suck if I spent good money on somthing that doesn't work.

The same thing was happening to me. The beep is telling you that its charging. I was told I just have the wrong cable. You have to look on the samsung site for their specific USB cable for that phone. I never bought it because it was nearly $80 from when I checked. Maybe not that high, but it seemed very expensive for just a little cable.
