Why would you want to put an AT&T branded and locked firmware on your phone?

I just tried to backup by v206 firmware using the ranges as follows:
0x00000000 - 0x00001fff
0x00004000 - 0x00ffffff
And the log files shows:
There is 1 memory region in the S-record file:
1: 0x00000000 - 0x000049e3 = 18916 Bytes
Power on mobile !
Flash loader version: V4.13
Mobile transfer speeds: 57600, 115200, 230400, 460800
Detected flash chips: 2
1: Manufacturer: 0xb0, Device: 0x00b1
2: Manufacturer: 0x00, Device: 0x0000
Flash chip 1 is not supported by the flash loader !
Error code: ERR_FLASHTYPE
Sorry, an error has occured ! (ERR_FLASHTYPE)
Any ideas? Does this mean I need a new version OptiFlash?

Never mind, found what's wrong.
You must select the correct phone type from the General menu. Perhaps someone can edit the sticky post and add that???

One thing about the v206 firmware is it does have the latest T9 software in it so that little things like automatic CASE switching in the English language is done. Instead of having to keep '*' toggling.
I actually am going to look into extacting that version t9 and packing it in G1 if G2/G3 didnt already.
Another thing is you can do is use/extract some of the different picture/images.

Yeah, the v206 has a modified G1 firmware actually, and has some nice features. It even has the phonebook shortcut. Too bad I cannot unlock it without having to flash (STACKRESET doesn't work).
I'll be happy to share the firmware, but it's 12M when compressed. Is there somewhere I can post it to?

@erhan Might be able to patch your firmware to include the stack reset or mod the file to be unlocked w/o it.
If your familiar w/Samsung DIY or the s3 convert tool specifically converting your s3 to a bin and then packing it will generally bring it down to about 6mb. So that should give you some more possiblities of sending it.
Would be interested in checking it out and I can see about unlocking it and sending you the patch.
Your G1 version actually has the ARROW short cut to phonebook in it?

like telequise say use "samsung diy 3.2" and convert your .sre into .bin file that would cut the file in haft then zip or rar it. well i dont realli know where to upload files for peepz to dl. you can try www.angelfire.com and sign up for a free 20mb web space and link us to the file. thnx
