Hi guys,
I just bought a ravr v3. The phone was a European phone I am in the U.S. I was able to unlock the phone and set up my email, tzones (browser) and pic messaging. I am unalbe to get rid of the little green roaming symbol on the phone. I called tmobile I have a nationwide plan so I will not be charged for roaming. I was hoping however someone may know how to get rid of the symbol?. I checked the settings for networks and the only selection I have is automatic. So it seems I cannot choose the netwok I want to use? Any halp would be grately appreciated.

There is not a way to get rid of the icon....I have the same issue. I purchased a Samsung E720 from overseas and it always has the roam icon. It is not big deal.....but sorry, unfortunatly there is no way to get rid of it.

Thanks for the reply. Tmobile keeps sending me updates from support (for 4 days now) to try to get rid of it. Now I can tell them to stop it was really getting annoying. Any other tips for the v3?

i had the same problem with my razr and samsung e720. Almost 100% sure that it could be your sim card. i have been with tmobile for about 3 or 4 years now and back then i they gave me a voicestream sim on activation. anyways a while back i had to get a new sim card and when i slipped it into my razr and samsung the roam icons were gone. So im guessing u have the old generations sim cards the newer one will remove take the icon off.
