bravo zulu for trying.
can you access POET? it tells you if what company it's with and if it's a landline or wireless customer. I use it when i can't pull up a number in our systems.

not familiar with that system sounds cool.. I'll try to find out about it. My favorite is a cingular reseller that i call and you can't get someone on the phone for them. and we can't fix the account. so their calls get sent to cingular.

Well, customers are customers.
I work for DELL Computers. (cudnt resist posting this, although know its for mobiles).
Cust (Yelling on top of her voice): I HAVE A HACKER!! Its still trapped inside my computer. I made a backup of Hard Drive and he is now trapped in my CDs. I turned off the computer so that he cant escape. YADA YADA YADA ... What do I do now ? Is he gonna come out even if the computer is turned off ?

you shoulda told her to get a blanket and some handcuffs to throw over him and cuff him when he jumps out of her computer.
what i would have said: "It takes a brave person to make a citizens arrest. You are an upstading citizen."
nice t get a different point of view on things (ie. the non-mobile market)

Best call yet, had an escalation from a customer today that was not able to recieve incoming calls, they were going straight to VM, big issue with the San Antonio TDMA switch, I explained this to customer, he then proceeded to tell me that he is waiting for a kidney transplant and that if he misses that call for the transplant he will sue, hello have you ever heard of the T&C that states don't use your phone for business purposes.

Had another one about a month ago, a woman who couldn't use her phone, she stated to me that if her "breasts" fall off and she can't dial 911 she will sue cingular wireless. And she said it just like that, "breasts".

It's bad the tyeps of phone calls call center reps get and the weird things that go one that the rest of the world does not even have a clue or all the BS we lucky few that can make it for a long period of time in the call center work force
