guy doesn't have service with us, but has a phone and calls, asking
"this phone that i have, is it like a card phone or plan phone?"
i'm assuming he referring to prepaid, so i ask...
"you have a phone with you that you're wondering about"
him..."yeah this one i have here."
OOOOOOHHHHHHHHH! THAT phone!
i told him to go to a store.

Heh - I love that one.
Here's a good one.
Had a lady call in asking about her DSL. Advised her that Cingular does not so DSL - she swore up and down she had a DSL service through us. Asked it if she meant SBC/ATT...she's like, "I never heard of them" - I told her that ATT owns us, but we don't have DSL - she got all mad at me and then just said whatever and hung up. I noted I did not attempt call back.

Sometimes customers don't get that there regulations that apply to all wireless companies.
She broke her phone and wanted to activate an older phone she had previously. I'm like, sure, no problem. I enter the ESN, and a error pops up that this is not an e911 capable phone. Informed customer of this. Customer gets upset, does not care about e911 feature, just wants her phone. Explained FCC regulation that ALL wireless carriers must abide by. Explained that she was eligible for an upgrade. Cust did not want to pay for a new phone, wanted the old one. Wanted a supervisor to fix it. Explained to cust that even my supervisor would not be able to bend the FCC rules either. Cust said she would disconnect... reminded with extra emphasis on Federal and All when explaining FCC again. Cust is really abusive with her language, accuses Verizon Wireless for scamming her to get money. Demands that we fix her phone or she will press charges. When informed that I would not and could not do it, she demanded Supervisor.
I complied of course, but I swear. What part of Federal and regulation that she did not get?
Customer's are truly peculiar creatures... someone should write a documentary on them
