The other day I get a call from gentleman that cannot make or recieve calls from his Verizon landline. Now I work in tech support for TDMA AT&T cell phones. I advised the customer to call the Verizon landline department. He tells me that the two are related. I tell him (more than once) that AT&T wireless has nothing to do with Verizon landlines. Then he wants to know where the problem is.like where in the phone lines is the communications breaking down, near his house or closer to the store itself.sheesh. Took me a long time to make him understand if you buy something from K-Mart you can't return it to Wal-Mart!

There is a break in the communication from the satellite to his landline, he needs to plug his telephone into his satellite box to strengthen his signal inside. If he is standing outside this should not be a problem. His phone should be connected directly to the satellite box, and with a cable no more the 10feet long, or there is too much signal degredation. If he has the phone plugged into the wall jack, then he should wait at least a week for the phone to reconfigure (it's a long download). If after a week his phone does not still work, he should contact the local waterbed store and demand that they come out and look at it for them. If he does not have a satellite box, then he should bake it in his oven, preheated to 400 degrees, for no more then 5 minutes (ovens may vary, so readjust time based on cooking trends), afterwhich he should carefully take the phone outside to let it cool and reconnect to the satellite from there.
