it's stuff like this that really makes my job enjoyable.
one of my favorites:
a guy and his wife call up because they want to switch phones on account. I told the customer to switch sim cards and he'll be set. he had a nokia and a samsung. customer starts arguing with me that the sim cards are not compatible. I told him as long as the phones are ATTW, all he needs to do was switch the sim cards.
...the customer said that cingular store reps activated the nokia but he's been unable to get any service on it...
so the guy hands the landline to his wife while he takes the sim card out of the nokia. he's having a lot of trouble. his wife says "he's yankin' on it". the customer comes back on the phone, yelling that the sims aren't comapatible. the nokia sim is the size of the a matchbook, where the samsung is the size of a postage stamp.
I have NO idea what he's talking about!
so i ask him to find me the model #, under the battery. he can't find it, but he finds an ESN...ESN!!
...but the reps in the store said they activated it on the account, and he says he pulled out a matchbook sized sim card!
so I don't know what the hell he pulled out of his phone, but i'm sure it's not going to be working any more!

or the Florida customer that calls me asking about the international long distance charges on his girlfriends phone....
thae call were to jamaica...a sex line that was well documented here... I advised him that they were valid charges... he kept disputing the charges to the tune of over 500 bux... he passed the phone to his girlfriend and she wanted to have a go at me...she asked what the were for and why it was charging so much... I told her it was an adult line ... she put the phone down and smacked the poor guy silly...in the course of the shouting I'm also heaing glass shatter and stuff...
she calmly picked the phone up and said that will be all...

I love that one asave me the time to troubleshoot the device. or you ask them for a call back number to reach them on and they give you there cellphone which they are haveing problems with and you are unable to call them back as they can't make or recive call and can only call 611 off there phone
