I Have both phones, actually I just sold my razr, but I still have the T809, its a cool phone, I do like it much better than the razr though I liked the razrs keypad better, (it looked cooler and was easier to use) only things I dont like about the T809 are: when you play back videos they are only one third of the screen size which really sucks, maybe new firmware will fix this. I text message alot and after you send each message the default is the T9 text input which I hate , wish it would stay on the last used or alphabet function. Ive had people complain that there sounds like there is a fly buzzing around in the phone, I put my sim card in my razr and the sound was gone so T mobile exchanged the phone for me and I was told that its still makinfg that sound so thats kinda weird. Might be some interference or something I dont know at this point but other than that I really like it , and I like it alot better than the razr that I had.

I've had the Samsung T809 for about two weeks now and absolutely love it. That isn't saying that it's the perfect phone, don't believe one really exists. However, the pro's really beat the cons by a far margin. The Video is small, and don't try to enlarge it, it will break apart. The camera is okay, but if you wiggle even a little, the shot is blurred. Those are the only negatives in my opinion. The clarity of sound is great, even with one bar. The mp3 player is okay and makes for some cool incoming ringtones. The size is terrific. Smallest phone I've ever owned, but because it's small doesn't make it awkward to use for a big fingered dude like myself. In fact, I have less trouble with the navigation button on this phone than I've had on larger Nokias. All in all, I would rate this phone a good 9.5.
If you go to phones-samsung-SGH t809, you will find several reviews.

I have had my T809 for about a month and a half now, I absolutely love it. I am a HUGE samsung fan and love all of their phones. My brother owns the Razr and I was not too impressed with the phone when it first came out. The T809 is very similar to the Razr, the camera is a swivel so you can take a picture of yourself with some friends without cutting someone out, or you can flip it to take pictures of other people, so I like that feature. I love the size, since I do not carry a big purse, I like to fit all of my stuff in my purse and this phone was just right. It is a sweet phone and in my opinion. I say go for it.

Are you planning on buying it directly from T-Mobile?
Although it is quite expensive, keep in mind that you can always buy it from somewhere else. I suggest an Asian place (that also sells import phones) because often times, they sell phones for much cheaper prices than the T-Mobile store. I haven't asked about the T809, but I was able to get the Samsung D600 (I believe it's around $450 USD value right now) for $160, whereas I only got the $39.99 plan (+6.99 for mobile to bmoile add-on). I mean , I saved almost $300!
I'm not saying that you HAVE to go to an Asian place, but I recommend asking around and checking prices, because they do have a more wider selection, as well as better prices/deals, IMO. :]

Hmm... not really. I live in California, so yea lol You should ask around or look around. Look for some authorized dealers, that sell phones for tmobile, cingular, verizon, etc. Ask anyone you know--there's bound to be some! :]

I ahve had plenty of phones and the one that stuck out the most was my Sharp tm 150 for Tmobile. I have really thought about the razr v3 for some time but friend of mine (on Cingular) has really shown me that the hype on that phone is out. $55 for software to connect to P.C. T809 comes in the box and is cheaper at $300 than when razr $500 debut. On that note, you also get MP3 Player video recorder, and 1.3 megapixel still photos. Now consider the razr v3 came out the same time T809....Which bandwagon are you on. Razr is cheaper now but still not as capable as T809.
Go SAMSUNG>>>
