i dunno if this is the right place for this topic, but i'll shoot. recently cingular sent me a hire package in the mail right before christmas. it included my drug sceen papers, job overview, and benefits packages. the recruiter called me and told me how much i'm gonna be making an hour and told me the they will do a background check which should be finished jan. 4th. my manager told me to report into work jan. 4 anyways, but i haven't received word that my background check was complete. a guy called me on the phone the other day and told me that it was almost complete, but they couldn't verify that i was enrolled in school. i'm nervous. i hope they finish soon. i don't have any skeletons in my closet, but i'm afraid that they will do a credit check and it's far from perfect. any advice?

I kinda went through the same thing.The couldn't verify my last two places of employment until like the last two days or so,but somehow did.As for the credit check thing,don't worry about it,unless you are going to be in a cash handling situation.Mine sucks and I have been a CSR for about two and a half months now.

that's tough. all i had to do was submit a criminal record check and go through a regular interview. proud to say i got hired on the spot!
(actually, seems as though that's not very tough around here)

well....my manager called me today and told me that my background check is complete and that i can start tomorrow. 2 weeks of extensive training. oh well.....the moneys good.
