I got a Motorola V300 recently and was reading specs off of websites and some said BANDS: 850/1900/900 but some said 900/1900/1800
But mobiledias review said 850 on it also...So i was wondering if it did have 850 band with T-Mobile and what other bands...Thanks icon_biggrin.gif

OPCODE to change bandwidth:
Click Menu then 048263* This open OPCODE
Enter the following code:
10*0*3 for GSM 900
10*0*4 for GSM 1800
10*0*5 for GSM 1900
10*0*6 Dual band GSM 900/1800 (European and ASIA )
10*0*7 North America GSM 850/1900.
Note:After you enter a selected code and hit ok you see Success it is done.

To any one that used PIN to lock the fone and fogot the code (4 digit) either find smartmoto to read it or use this opcode to master rest and master clear.
048263* to get to opcode

18*0
18*1

After you click the Menu button you have to enter the 048263* code very fast.
Then a text box will appear where you put the 10*0*7 and click OK

If it works it will say : Success

And you will not see the 850MHz listed in your available bands, but it will be there. You will see the difference in reception.
I flashed my software to make it show icon_smile.gif

Hmmm, that's wierd.
It worked the second time on my phone and every time ever since.
What I do is click th emiddle soft button and immediately start typing the numbers and the *
A text box pops up and I enter the code.
May be try several more times, just to be sure. icon_redface.gif

I flashed my phone with the v600 moster flash.
I used the 72R flash.

We are no tallowed to post links here, but if you go to the Motorola talk forum, and into the flash/flex sub-forum you can find alot of info and guides how to do it.

You will need a USB data cable, Motorola Mobile Phone tools, p2kman, and of course the moster flash file.
