you don't have access to our databases, but you can get a lot of the information from forums/web sites like this and manufacturer web sites

Thanks, but if you do not mind my asking, what kind of databases/software do CSR's use?

mostly proprietary stuff...
billing systems and diagnostic tools that are integrated to the billing systems...they indicate solutions for issues
no...the consumer will not get access to these systems...

I dont know what the big deal is. Here is a list of a few CSR programs ive used at each company.
Qwest Wireless Repair:
Vantive, for trouble tickets, account notes, and tracking calls for each account.
PLS Maps: A web based program that allows the agent to view basic coverage. Not very accurate.
BAP: A web accessed version of Citrix, hosted directly by Sprint. We would input addresses for customers, and it would tell us exactly how many towers in that area, and exactly how far away. We could also check the status of each tower, efficiency, blocked, dropped calls, number of voice and data calls, etc
Twist: Proprietary web based application. We used this to view account and customer info, view warranty replacements, number of lines, ESNs of the handsets, and lots of other good things.
BOSS/CARS: This was an AS400 IBM system that is used by every department in Qwest. This was only used in wireless for viewing credit class rating, and notes. Other departments use this primarily for adding features and services to wireline accounts, billing history/info, and customer info.
A financial institution who deals with most private loans in the US:
(Cant tell you the name of this company, sorry)
ALE: Another AS400 IBM system, used by level 1 CSRs to view signer and co signer information, and notes for the loans.
T-Mobile Telesales:
A web written in Java (Very poorly written, I might add). This is used for adding additional lines for customers, and creating new orders for accessories, and new lines of service for new customers.
Cingular Wireless:
2 programs to take the calls, Care & Telegance, Written in Visual Basic, very buggy, they both crash all the time.
CSP: Customer information, all Cingular stores have access to this as well.
Snooper: Written in Java, used to see if things are provisioned on accounts correctly.
Now, I am also interested in what kind of software CSRs use at other comanies, anyone?

Can't give the database but regardless the system is slow due to still using dial-up that slows down in the afternoons because the majority of the reps come in at that time
