Hello:
I just switched from a Moto v300 to v635. The v300 was provided by tmobile, and I was able to text message to anyone, regardless of their service provider.
However, I have just purchased an unbranded v635 from ebay, and now I can only send text messages to people with tmobile service.
Does anyone know why this would happen? And, more importantly, how to stop it from happening?

most likely u need to add the T-Mobile Serivice Center number contact Customer Care and they will walk you thought how to fix your problem call 1-800-T-Mobile from a landline or non-T-Mobile phone or 611 with a T-Mobile Phone

Well, I gave that a try and it still doesn't work. The service center number is +12063130004. The thing is, I already had that number in my phone, which is why I was able to send messages to t-mobile people. However, still no luck with people on other plans.

the only carriers u can Text is Sprint/Nextel,Verizon and Cingular. did u call T-Mobile Customer Care?

Yes, but with no successful resolution. The rep. was able to send sms messages to me from her computer, but I but since she is from tmobile I wouldn't have expected anything else. After that, she had me do a "master reset" and told me "that should do the trick". She was extremely pleasant, but it certainly did NOT do the trick.
What's more, I have now learned that people have been leaving me voicemail's that don't get into my mailbox for 5 or 6 hours.
Any ideas?
