I downloaded a mid file to my new phone. Problem is, the message is in the inbox and is saved to the phone, but i can not choose it to be assigned as a ringtone for all calls. Does anyone know how to do that? I can hear it fine a s message, but it is useless if i can't make it a ring tone.
Thanks for your help.

Its not going to let you because you have a Vcast capable phone. All Vcast capable phones have a block that doesn't let you save sounds as ringtones.

the ringtone in your message box did you save sound but if you save the sound will go in my sounds and sounds cant be save for ringtones in lg 8100 but you can send sounds to peeps that have the lg6100 that can save sounds as ringtones or anyone with a vzw phone that can save sounds as ringtone
thats y vzw changed the my sounds to so you cant just put sounds on your mini sd card and make your own ringtone but you can send to others that can save sounds as ringtones

Hi ebaskin
If you have software Version 04, there's an easy way to assign custom ringtones. You can check your software Version this way:
OK (Menu) - right-right - 4. system - 3. Device Info - 2. S.W. Version
You will see on the top 2 lines, something like:
SW Version
T81VZV04
The last two numbers are your software version, in my case "04" If you have Verson 07, my method does not work well.
If you have Version 04, email me and I will provide the steps needed.
