hi
i am trying to connect Nokia 6610 to my pc through USB Cable,
PC Suite 5 installed, USB Cable drivers also installed.
Nost showing any errors or yellow flag in device manager
But still PC Suite is not recognizing Nokia 6610.,
it shows phone not connected.
i am using Win 2000 proff
what to do.
pls suggest.

Original or replica cable?
And for Windows 2000 (with Service Pack 3 or 4) PC Suite 6 is recommend.

Ah ok... replica cables sometime just don't work...
A common problem: most of them need to have installed their own drivers and afterwards you've to install the DKU-2 cable drivers of Nokia.

i have tried using original DKU-2 cable and its drivers.
but still it shows phone not connected..??

A DKU-2 won't work with this phone.
DKU-5 or CA-42 are the correct cables.
Have you checked if you maybe need to install the DKU-5 cable drivers manually for your replica cable after installing the cable driver?

hi again
i have now installed lates PC Suite 6.7,
on Windows 2000 Proff, SP4,
using DKU-5 cable.
I am trying with both with replica and original cables.
In device manager it shows in the list..
but still No Phones connected..
I have even restarted PC and Phone many times..
but still same..
Pls suggest..what to do?

Have you configured the Connection Manager of PC Suite correctly so it uses the correct COM port for the DKU-5 cable?

thanks for ur support and help.
Its now connecting and working fine.
Updated PC Suite to 6.7
I have installed PL-2303 Driver Installer.exe downloaded from net, and the it got recognised and connected.
