Roaming? Sprint Did Away With Roaming Charges About A Year Ago. Besides. I've Never Had To Roam Any Way.

I have cingular Go phone pyp service and with the added features (like internet plans now on the phones) and the montly payment things great coverage. And i have a device i got myself so I can't say if the phones they sell for go phones are any good..
I'd say it was better than the sprint postpaid service i used years ago. (on more than 1 occasion I called 911 and was unable to get thru) or my favorite if the technology is the same your phone goes into analog mode for like an hour or 2 (and you don't realize it) then you have a dead phone you can't even use since the analog roam standby time was like 4 hours or something like that. (and the regular was like several days)

i now realize that i was COMPLETELY wrong
best service ---> worst service
1)verizon (will always be)
2) Sprint PCS (if u include the roaming , its like the same as verizon)
--------------------------- heres where i draw the line -----------------------
3) cingular
4) nextel
5) tmobile (i cant believe i liked tmobile)
CDMA providers are very good and can generate service better through buildings than GSM and ummm what ever nextel is i dont even know =]

Of coarse T-mobile is #1. I love my tmobile servivces and have had it for almost 3 years now. In addition to having services everywhere I have also experienced the best customer service which makes a big difference when you are dealing with overage. I think Sprint is improving and trying to keep up with the competion but I don't like the fact they bill a month in advance. Cingular is over priced just because the have roll over minutes and At&t had wonderful plans but unless you kept your existing plan with the merge you're screwed. Last but not least...Nextel, hidden charges, overage, high bills. Never where I live again, even if they are giving the phones away. Alot of people learned a valuable lesson, has to be a reason they free...

1. AllTel: Change your plan whenever you want with no contract changes, My Circle, great coverage, all call centers are located in the United States.
2. Nextel: DirectConnect has it's advantages, no roaming, ever, not even by accident.
-------------------
3. Sprint: The data services are above the board, N&W starting at 7 a plus.
4. Cingular: Best GSM service, as long as I don't need it where I live.
5. Verizon: 'Do you hear me now?' Um no your phone doesn't work in my house.
6. TMobile: Catherine Zeta-Jones must cost a lot, because you don't seem to have any towers up.
GSM get's rated so low because much of the population lives in the rural areas surrounding the town, while the GSM only works in town.
Verizon get's rated so low because they cancelled their roaming agreement with Alltel in this area after purchasing Cricket, and just like GSM doesn't work well in the rural areas now.
Sprint get's rated so high for a lack of better choices.
Nextel's rating doesn't fall after the merge with Sprint primarily because of a lack of choices.
