hi, i had the same problem, the problem was that the soldering on the motherboard had cracked and the ribbon from the screen to the motherboard had broke free, so the soldering may have broke free on your phone! an easy way to fix is simply solder it back onto the board, only one problem though u have to have a steady hand! any problems reply back and i will try to help!

ah rite, yeah it matters if the soldering is touching as this will be creating a short circuit! the ribbon that you solder onto the mother board is for the back light which i think you problem may be there! is the posative and negative solder touching each other at all if so i will tell you roughly how to sort that problem out?

dosnt appear to be touching but theres a line of solder in the middle of ribbon strip maybe thats causing the connection, will have to try clean it off somehow??

what i done was i used a watch screwdriver (small flatheaded screw driver) and heated up the solder and used the screwdriver to seperate the solder, it worked for me, one word of advice be patient because it doesnt always work straight away and if you choose to do it this way take care aswell!
no probs!
