Customer calls in to original representative. Their phone was suspended pending verification from the customer (Fraud Suspend, info didn't match). Original rep does not give any credit.
I take the call over, I review the memos, and this is what makes this absurd. Their phone was suspended for all of 7 hours (9:45 AM to Roughly 4:45 PM) and they wanted a credit! I didn't give any either. If there was anything due, it would have been something like .39 (39 cents) if you take the prorations forumla to the extreme. They were on a 39.99 plan/30 day cycle=1.33 per day/24 hours would be .055 cents X 7 hours=.385 cents, rounded up, .39 cents.
Bad thing is, they said they were going to write to the company about this!
File 13 Anyone?
Share some of your absurd requests here! I think this one takes the cake for absurd squared. hehehe

I got a call from a "gentleman" a while back....
he said his voicemail wasnt working and wanted it fixed... it was the VM access number...reprogrammed it ...
the "gentleman" went into a tirade on how he makes his living by his phone and he wanted credit for his voicemail being non working...
I advised the "gentleman" that his problem was not (then) ATT's fault... that would have to be manually done by a person (to input his phone number instead of the VM acess number)
well....a flurry of explitives came out of his mouth...
still demanding credit for VM....I told him that I would credit exactly what was paid for VM on his acct for this month.... (laff) ...he said that wasnt good enuf... I responded with 2 months... he agreed...
I input a credit of 0.00 on his account for network feature billed in error...
VM is a free feature

or when they call in about vm not working complaining that they can't access it and you offer to credit them one month of vm service the 1.99 enhanced vm feature and you just don't tell them how much you are going to credit them

why is it that the nice ones always get screwed?
nice woman calls to check new balance after credit was supposed to be applied to the amount of over 700.00 due to roaming. credit was not applied, eventhough notes state so. res states we cannot honour and had to give options of half credit or getting new contract for full credit. as far as she knew, everything had already been taken care of.
If she had requested a supervisor, the note may have been honoured.
