I have both Verizon ans Sprint PCS. Verizon has been a nightmare that is totally correct. My LG 6000 stopped ringing. I kept thing that I was hitting the silent key when it was in my pocket. After a few days I saw that it was not the case. Verizon didn't even offer to exchange the phone to something simular. So I upgraded to the a huge hightmare the fame RAZR V3c. Just did the upgrade on Jan 6 2006, rec'd the phone on the 10th. I was told, since I live 3 1/2 hours from a Verizon store they would overnight the phone at no charge. Lie. The RAZR had a constant loud hissing noise in my ear and the speakphone was a whisper. I send it back for a replacement for a second try. FEDEX pick-up the package last Tuesday, I was again assured that I would receive the replacement by that Thursday. Big Guess? Never arrive by Friday. I was on the phone for several hours totally getting upset to the point of no return. They promised that Ben who made the error of not filling the form properly would call me with that hour. Not so he called me at 3:15 PM and talked to me for 45 mins. apologizing for his error, but he was out of his office for several days. Right, he then had the nerve to tell me they where charging me $299 + shipping for a new phone. Fool! Read my account. It was an upgrade for $99.99. He then tell me oh! I do see that, but I will have to charge you $107.49 and will waive the shipping and I promise you'll have the phone tomorrow Sat Jan 21 2006 from FEDEX no later then 12:00 NOON. It came after 2 PM. I was charge $128.98 on my account $19.99 for FEDEX Saturday Delivery. So now I fighting with them about that. They rec'd the 1st RAZR on Thursday. It should have already shown up on my account. Ben said it takes about 14 to 18 days. What a crock! I need to replace this new RAZR. It still has the hissing, and the speakerphone sucks, and for the 1st time ever with Verizon I have had so many dropped calls in the last 3 days. They do have good coverage, but not with this phone. Sprint PCS has always been my favorite, but I have no choice and need the Verizon account too. Any help on the LG V, Samsung SCH a970 LG VX8100. These are my new choices I still have 12 days to return this RAZR. I hope this helps out. Verizon is ripping off their customers.

*86 is on all verizon phone for voicemail. All you do is just hit you envelope icon and put in your passcode for you voice mail and hit # key.

If you dial your own number, or use speeddial '1' it will USUALLY show up as Voicemail. If you use *86 (*vm for voicemail, btw) it will usually show up as "*86" or 000-000-0086
I know, it's wierd.
