It could be that the battery has died. You will have to find a way to charge it because flashing the phone can take a lot of the charge. Try another phone that accepts that type of battery or a desktop charger or something.

Ok, use a cable that doesn't have shorted pins..........hold on. I thought it was something like 13 + 14 not 4 + 5. What type of cable does it use?

Oh, and another way to force to bootloader is to hold * + # and put the battery in (may have to hold power button as well).

i have mange to flash the phone with several other firmwares
some unstable, low batt when full, etc.
i am currently running same firmware as my phone came with, however
the external LCD icons are diff than they should be. and now i am missing a few options, no option to assign ringer id's to entries in my address book or assighning pics to callers, i now have 7MB of space on my phone instead of 5MB
i am on firmware R472_G_8.18.16R0A wich is suppose to be the one it came on

All I can suggest is flash to the latest V551 firmware (you'll have to find that out yourself), or the best firmware, whichever. Then if anything is missing do SEEM edits to unlock that stuff.

Yes because V500 is a triplet base fone you it's compatable but not V551 or V557 firmware and hardware is different!!!. Those site has that tutorial years ago when V551 is not even exit!!!

I just flshed my friends v600 and it won't switch on.
I shows something like device connected to usb not recognised when I insert the battery or just turn it on. How do I get it showing connected in Flashbackup or RSD Lite/Multiflashflex?

I also tried holding * and # while inserting the battery, but still shows the same thing.

Please help. icon_wacko.gif
