Does anyone know if there is a way to prevent that white disc from turning pink/red after your phone is exposed to moisture. I was thinking of using clear nail polish. However I think that will turn it pink because it too is a liquid or maybe use a piece of tape to cover the disc and then glue the edges down to try to create a water tight seal. Any thoughts? Thanks, E

I live in sunny Seattle, that would require me using my phone inside a zip lock bag....

buy insurance that covers physical/liquid damage.

if you mess with the phone in any way, you'll void the warranty anyway.

Well honestly even if that indicator doesn't change colors, techs know when or when not the phones been wet. The indicators just the easy check, by examining the mainboard and seeing shorted diodes, resisters, etc..we know. So I agree, try getting insurance that covers such damage. Another suggestion would be keep your phone in your pocket by purchasing a bluetooth headset or using a wired headset even.
