I'm a technophile from way back, and as soon as I got my a920 with the usb cable, that's the first question I asked myself. Fact is that you can't connect your phone to your pc. The USB cable is only for Printers that use a Pictabridge interface such as the Dell A960, or to use your Modem enabled phone to connect your PC to the internet. You will need to have the phone create a file for your music to go in with the chip in your phone.
In the mean time you'll need to purchase an SD Ram card adapter for your computer, this can be accomplished either with a 5 inch drivebay adapter, which is the ugliest thing you could do to an otherwise sweet setup, or go the way I did with my laptop and get a PCMCIA card as an SD Ram reader. The latter can also be used with a PC by way of PCMCIA to PCI adapter card. The trick is that you have to install it inside the computer, and access the rear panel of your tower to insert and remove your SD Ram chip.

Sorry. You don't have a removable chip. From what I've heard from other forums you'll need to purchase an interface program from your cellular provider.

What I think you may need to do is connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable that came with your a900.
Once your a900 is connected to your computer press the following buttons on your phone:
[Menu OK]
[9] Tools
[1] Mass Storage
[1] Connect to PC
In a second or 2 your computer will detect the a900 as a removeabel drive and it will show up with the rest of the drives connected to your computer.
On Windows XP with your mouse click on the [Start] button on the lower left had corner of the screen. Then click on [My Computer].
The My Computer window opens up and you should see any drives connected to your computer.
I hope this helps you.

Hi... the menu thing and connecting to the PC worked, and I put the music that I would like to hear on the phone and it plays great. But here's the thing... How do you assign that new music to your RING TONES?

As far as I have been able to figure out, you will need to download ringers to your a900 so that they show up as a selectable ringer.
A good web site to use to accomplish this is http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/
Select a song you would like to use as a ringer. Then I recommend editing the file so that it is only 5 to 10 seconds long. The ringer only needs to be as long as it takes for the call to be sent to voicemail.
Upload your ringer to the RUMKIN website using the Phone Uploader tool. Follow the instructions on the RUMKIN site. You can have the website send your phone a text message to your phone so that you can download the file, but I have found that for me using the "Jump Code" works better.
How to use the phone uploader tool and Jump Code is well documented on the RUMKIN site.
Good Luck

Hi i have the A900 samsung and i have a question about using the bluetooth to send files... After I store the files in my "Media -->db" file only the first 6 show up and i was able to transfer those through bluetooth. but after i scroll pass the top 6 they just show up as blank icons and when i highlight them and try to transfer it to another phone, it says something about not having access....????
Can someone tell me how to fix this or what i am doing wrong?

hey, i recently got my A900, and i really like it, however this is a problem, i can get the songs to show up in the main page of my file manager, but i can never play any of them. i tried playing them from the media player, and just clicking OK from the list they're originally in. did i download them to the wrong place or what?
