Do I need to be 8.23 or 7.D0 to unlock the phone? I am currently at 8.23 (had my phone a while).
Dumb question #2:
How can I tell if my phone is unlocked? I ran the unlocker and it seemed to work but I can't see a difference.
Do I HAVE to use a monster pack? Can I just upgrade to the latest version flash?
Can I keep my rogers flex or do I need to go to an unlocked one?

7.D0 - it will not unlock with 8.23
There are some programs you can use to check - but to be 100% sure the best way is to insert a different carriers sim and check it works.
You only have to flash with an old monsterpack if it won't unlock with your current s/w and flex but with 7.D0 bootloader.
If it still doesn't unlock with 7.D0 and an old monsterpack there isn't much left to try at present.
The only way would involve editing your PDS manually.
If it unlocks with your current flash flex

Hi i have been trying all day to unlock my razr (version 8.26) and when i follow all the steps and get to the downgrade.exe it just says
getphonestatus<> - unable to find any valid interfaces
over and over, what do i do?

I rolled back the version and all i got was a keypad that stays lite and a non responsive phone. please help if you have overcome this problem.

Help i think i really screwed my phone the keypad is locked on lite and i can't turn it off. I followed all the steps but still it froze and won't unfreez. I had boot 08.26

@sparx - what exactly have you done? Did you run the downgrader program? - did it complete? - were there any messages?

yeah everything went gucci and then it just froze and the keypad stayed lit

But what messages did it display - it restarts the phone a few times during the process

it won't do anything now and i can't get 08.26 uploaded the phone won't turn off and when i use smartmoto the program does not respond. I can build nuclear power plants but i screwed up my phone

i never saw it change the boot the last thing i saw when i used the roll back program was 08.26
