Also, just for my understanding, if it's the flex that locks the phone, why isn't a flex reflash unlock the phone?
Also, I just downgraded to 40.98R and the unlock code still does NOT work.

An unlocked flex will not unlock a locked phone but a locked flex will relock an unlocked one.
Are you guys both sure you have bootloader 7.D0 - does it say so in bootloader mode? (hold # and * while restarting the phone)
There is another method of unlocking - but its a bit more tricky - and therefore more dangerous.
If you really can't do any of the first options I listed and the unlocker program doesn't work for you - there are a small number of people for whom it just doesn't appear to work - but most of these get it to work when flashing with an old monsterpack.

I just did this, I am still having a problem. I even did the PDS mods, still locked...

I tried to unlock my RAZR V3 [b]BOOT VERSION was 8.23 before from t-mobile to use with cingular.
I follwed each and every step like i first updated it to R374_V3BL_07.D0.shx version using RSD lite. Then again i updated it to R374_G_0E.40.79R then unlcoked it using moto_unlocker after that i flashed it with R374_G_0E.42.10R but the conflict is.
when i turn on da fone by pressing power key it does not turn on and da keypad lights goes off!
Now here is da catch i opened the flip almost quarter and pressed da powerkey again it shows up with the motorola screen and every thing is normal again when i open da flip all da way it goes blank white!
This is like the system of flip reversed!
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

hello i was following ur instructions on how to unlook my razr v3 with bootlooder 8.26 i sussessfully downgreder to 8.23 but i am stuck in ther i cant restores to normal funtion any idias on hoe to do it. i am in the screen where it say

Not sure what you have done - the instructions are to downgrade 8.26 to 7.D0.
What exactly did you do?

hi will do just got my virgin phone to take a 02 sim i take it is now done but how do i change the logo n stuff can i do that .. also i can not get back into bootloader mode when i press * # and power nothing
