When someone unlocks thier phone ex: a razor v3 cant you just give that code to another person that has the same phone that needs to be unlocked as well?
all this stuff is so hard to comprehend

How come i cant flash MP to a older version anymore?
i bricked my phone and unbricked it....then i realized somehow i cant flash any MP.... currently it's 42.10
i am gettin this error message using smartmoto
Loading RAM downloader for bootloader
Error sending RAM downloader for bootloader. Error 0xE00200C7 while sending address 0x3FD0010
Flash completed!
Phone is powering down
Refreshing device connections
Flash failed!
.........it also says "Searching for phone...Found Motorola P2K, getting test interface...interface not found"
i think when i unbrick it, i change the PDS unlock level, using the second method....sadly didnt work.....is tat the problem?

ok new problem....seems like the MP is working now, but no matter what ver. of MP i flashed, it still shows 42.10......-_-|||

I had exactly the same problem. Even pretending, that it did the "downgrade", the unlock program did not work...

I tried to unlock my RAZR V3 [b]BOOT VERSION was 8.23 before from t-mobile to use with cingular.
I follwed each and every step like i first updated it to R374_V3BL_07.D0.shx version using RSD lite. Then again i updated it to R374_G_0E.40.79R then unlcoked it using moto_unlocker after that i flashed it with R374_G_0E.42.10R.
When i put the cingular sim card it says "contact service provider"
Please tell me a way how 2 get rid of that lock!

Leave it on that screen for about 30 min - till it asks for the subsidy code again - then run the unlocker program

I waited until the fone asked for da subsidy code then turned it off to load in the flash mode and ran da unlocker program da program showed sucessful.
But when i turned da fone on again it shows "contact service provider"
NOT UNLOCKED!
PLS HELP!

Well the only thing left to try would be the PDS edit mentioned a page or 2 back
