Hi there,
I have just obtained a V3i which is locked to O2 in the UK.
At the boot loader screen the following info shows:
Boot Loader
0A.30.
SW Version:
R479_G08.B4.85R
Are there any known issue with this firmware etc. as I would like to unlock this phone to use an Orange sim and don't want to brick it.
Thanks in advance.

Well you can't unlock it yourself with software only

I was beginning to suspect that having read the legions of posts regarding this topic.
I had initally thought I could Flash and Flex the phone the way I had done with my V500 but I think I'll just take it to a High St. shop and get them to unlock it then mod it after that.
Cheers for the reply anyway.

Hi All,
I have a tmobile v3 razr and am trying to unlock it for cingular. I tried to do it the free way first. This didnt work so I used MotoUnlocker for 25 dollars to unlock it. I had problems with the drivers then I finally got it to go though. It flashed the bootloader down to 7.EO and then could not find the interface on the last step and quit. I tried contacting these guys but nothing has been sent back. Also, my girlfriend tried entering the subsidy code too many times and now with a cingular sim it says "contact service provider". If I put my sim back in it will work fine but I dont know what else to do.
Thanks for the help.

Sounds like it is still locked - you need bootloader 7.D0 not 7.E0..
