Ok so I have a T-mobile v3 trying to unlock it for the use with a cingular sim.
I've done everything and tried it numerous times and now the phone will only light up the keypad and turn off. I downloaded Flash & Backup 3.0.052. then did whatever and now the phone says SW not found when I boot up in flash mode. On Flash & Backup I hit the remove lock button and thats when everything like the SW got erased and such. What do I do now?
Please help

Hello folks!
So I just talked to T-Mobile and got an unlock code for my Razr. However, it suggests putting in a foreign SIM card, which I don't have. What do you suggest I do?
(Here's a copy of the email they sent me, with the valuable numbers deleted):
T-Mobile Sim Unlock Request
Sim Unlock Reference: xxx
IMEI: xxx
Unlock Code: xxx
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Below you will see the Instructions for unlocking your Motorola device.
Before you start you must have a foreign (non-T Mobile) SIM card entered into the handset. If the display reads "Enter Special Code", enter the unlock code and press "OK". If the display does not ask for Special code, please enter the instructions below.
1.Press the Menu key on the keypad, and then quickly press xxx.You should see the Enter Security Code screen.
2.Enter xxx and select OK.
3.Scroll to Unlock SIM select it.
4.Enter the SIM unlock code and select OK.
5.Press the End key to return to the main screen.
NOTE: If the phone displays, "Please wait to enter special code" or "Contact service provider," you will have to wait for it to change back. Please be aware that the phone must stay powered on to do this. If the battery is low, be sure to plug it in. It could take 15 minutes to an hour to change back. If the phone does not change back, the handset will need to be replaced.
Thank You,
Sim Unlock Department
T-Mobile USA, Inc.

If anyone can help that would be most excellent because I fell like I have just wasted about 12 hours in the past 2 days.
I am trying to use my laptop to unlock a cingular razr v3 cell phone. (cingular will not give me the subsidy code go fig.) I have been reading the posts and by what I have done it should be unlocked.
*I downgraded boot loader 08.23 sw version: r374_G_0E.40.9CR to boot loader 07.D0 SW Version: R374_G_0E.40.9CR with RSD Lite 3.3
*I ran Motorola unlocker 2005 while in boot loader
*started up phone and it is asking for subsidy code
*tried an older monster packs:
R374_G_0E.40.3CR_PDS001_LP002C_DRM0001_JPJAVA_G_0E_V3_01_06R_SE8608AXX W6043_1FF.shx
R374_G_0E.40.79R_PDS003_LP0039_DRM0002_JPJAVA_G_0E_V3_01_10R_SE8632AXX F4081_1FF.shx
R374_G_0E.42.09R_GSMV3MXCIN01NA0F5_flexlash_MOTOX.shx
and then ran Motorola Unlocker and still it was asking for a subsidy code.
Currently the phone is low battery but it is boot loader 07.D0 SW Version: R374_G_0E.40.9CR and when I try and start the phone up normally I just receive a blank screen.
Any help will be most appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Ok from my previous post, I have it unlocked!
I flashed apristel_premod_mp_v1.shx and it is now working unlocked.
BL: 07.d0 SW R374_G_0E.42.10R
Now I am just working on customizing it. The only question I have, is there a way to use a razr to connect to a wifi and surf the internet that way?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

I followed everything on the first page.
I booted up with the BL and I have a 8.26.
I then started RSD Lite 3.5 and loaded the file I was told to and it said it was a "success"
Now my phone still starts up but I can't get into the BL again. I tried flashing it with the 7.DO file and it seems corrupt.
Could someone upload a different .shx file for me?
