I FINALLY got this working on a T-Mobile V3 - I wanted to use a Cingular SIM - but Motounlock simply would not work.

So I took the advice of others here that say to try P2k Easy Tools. If you do a search on Google, you'll be able to find an archive with various versions. I tried several, but was still having issues. I kept getting something like "ERROR sending bootloader 2(1)" or similar.

FINALLY I had the bright idea to try it with my Cingular SIM inserted and the phone at the "Please Contact Provider" screen - BINGO! I now have an unlocked T-Mobile phone with a Cingular SIM!

So if you are having issues with Easy Tools not wanting to complete, you might want to try it with a "foreign" sim - meaning a sim that shows the "contact service provider" message - inserted into the phone. I went through the process several times before it finally worked - there didn't seem to be any problem doing the process over - and after I put the SIM in it worked on the first try!

Hopefully this helps someone icon_smile.gif

Hope I'm not ridiculously late with this and I might repeat things you already now but.

My firmware version is:
R3443U2_G_0E.C0.13R

My bootloader is:
0A.52

I found software that restored my phone.

If the link does not work
go to modmymoto

The download is located here.

I used RSD_LITE 3.2
I hit the "#" "*" power buttons to get that bootscreen thing (don't know what it's called)
Pointed RSD to that file and in less than 5mins I was back online

I did lose my pics and dates reserved in calendar but everything is good.

*the flash repair might not work because of a faulty PSD (?) but I think it can be repaired, just look it up.

Hope I was some help.

Has anyone been able resolve this problem? I am experiencing the same.

hey guys, I'd appreciate some assistance. 1st timer. read mostly everything here, this is what I got:

Motorola V3 Cingular
Boot Loader 8.26
SW Version R374 G 0E.41.C3R B

This is wat i want it to do: T-Mobile. lol

icon_arrow.gif I noticed that I should probably downgrade my bootloader to 7.0
icon_arrow.gif and try a Rlite program.

did anyone have any luck with an SW version that ends with .41 like mine, and not the common .42.?

icon_question.gif I'd really apreciate some help here,. thanks

I recently got a Razr V3 from a friend its locked to T-Mobile, I've tired doing the software, and the random subsidy password (which i over did.one too many times.) but I can't get my computer to recognize the phone at all.

I don't have a T-Mobile SIM card at all, is that the problem? Because I've installed MPT and can't even get it to read there with or without the ATT sim card in it
