4) If you have bootloader 8.26 open the folder for 8.26, double click on the downgrader.exe file. It will open a command window and start the downgrade process. If it stops with please wait on the screen and the phone off for a lengthy period start the phone in bootloader mode
5) If you have a different bootloader than 8.26 or 7.D0 then use RSD to flash the file BL07D0_for_BL0823_Downgrade.shx in the 8.23 folder
7) Start in bootloader mode (hold # and * while powering on)
8 ) Run Moto Unlocker click connect and yes
i have a v3 with 8.26 on it, and here is what happenned to me:
I did all the stuff above, and the phone was originally hooked to cingular, but i've flashed it once with monster pack R374_G_0E.42.10R. yesterday, after doing all the above, i put in a t-mobile card into it, and it didnt ask me for a subsidy passcode which it would usually do, instead it just started up normal, but it was still showing cingular, eventhou it had a t mobile sim card in it. is this weird or wut? anyone thinks anything or knows anything about this? is this phone now unlocked? also, when i try to go in the bootload, it jus doesnt do it anymore. and how do i upgrade back up to 8.26? any help is appreciated. thanks.

Its probably telling the truth - its displaying the actual tower you are using - t-mo and Cingular have tower sharing agreements. So even though you are using a T-Mobile account you are actually on a Cingular tower.
It maybe actually going into bootloader - just the screen is blank - see if you are able to connect.
You can flash with 8.26 bootloader - but I don't recommend it - you don't gain anything and lose out on a few things if you do

I've done everything listed in the first post. First, my phone was in 8.23, then i flashed it down to 7.D0. I tried the unlocker at this point and the phone died. It started in bootlogger mode but nothing else. Anyways, I flashed to 8.26, and everything worked, but it still wasn't unlocked. The i repeated the process, down to 7.D0, run unlocker, etc. This time it operates in 7.D0, but the unlocker hasn't done anything yet. I've run it twice, yet I'm still asked for a subsidy code when I insert my AT&T SIM card into this T-Mobile RAZR. Any thoughts on how I can finish this process to get my phone unlocked?
From Old_Fool:
"May be you want to down grade to bootloader 7.d0 then flash your fone withany old Flash or MP say 40.07r, basically take you fone back to the first generation of v3 then try the unlocker.
Good luck"
I'm willing to try this, but where can I find an old flash or MP like 40.07r? I can't seem to locate it on Google. Thanks for any help!

There have been some reports of people with newer phones for who the unlocker doesn't seem to work even with bootloader 7.D0.
Thank you all a bunch. I did as Old_Fool said and used the oldest MP I could find, ran the unlocker, then reupdated to the newest. My T-Mobile phone is now unlocked and my Cingular SIM card works perfectly. Thanks a ton.

Read the first post in this thread. The only thing you need to buy is a USB cable - its the same as a PSP cable - you should be able to get one for about $5 I believe

thanks for the reply earlier,
also wanted to ask if you knew anything about the roaming sign, which has been on since i flashed the phone. its the little triangle. does it always do that when you flash them, or should i try reflashing with another one?
