Hey guys,
My contract with Cingular expires in a few months, and I’ve been thinking about getting the Motorola ROKR phone - I've seen some very tempting deals on it for $10 with instant rebate.
You see I never bought an I-Pod and I’m having serious technology-abstainer’s remorse… I’ve been eyeing the SLVR on the Cingular site, which also has iTunes but is only fractionally thinner than the ROKR – I checked out the specs.
Think I should get the ROKR or hang in there for the next best music phone with iTunes?? The way cellular trends are going, you think I might as well wait for the RAZR v3i (with i Tunes) to go down in price?

The rokr is a good phone i have it and i think its great! it isnt too big and the itunes is just a added feature the stereo speakers are very nice and sound great. The slvr i have also with itunes id rather use the rokr for itunes just because the rokr has stereo speakers even though i have a slvr thats unbranded with itunes i never use i dont like itunes on the slvr but someone offered to add it too my phone so why not. I think the rokr is still worthy of purchase and not too many people have it so your kinda "unique". the v3i is suppost to be released march or may i forget which "M" month lol but its suppost to have itunes on it. i think the razr is just played out and its getting real old real fast i think the v3i is too simular to the regular v3

If you really want music on your phone, the SLVR or the ROKR are both good ways to go, however, if you actually want to listen to music all the time I would reccomend getting an actual Ipod, it holds more. Also, I personally like the RAZR for a phone, because I alredy have an ipod, also I imagine the ROKR's battery would run out of power pretty quickly if you listened to music all day on it, the best thing to do is go down to a cigular store and check them out in person.

id suggest the rokr just because of teh fact that it has better sound but if you are going to use headphones most of the time it is better to go with the slvr other then that i really dont see any difference unless u like black more then white seeing how one phone is black other is white

wow, thanks for the insiders' advice! So far I'm leaning towards the ROKR since it seems like a great phone. If I still want more music, I can always get an iPod on e-Bay...
Any idea how many songs the RAZR v3i will be able to hold, or if the battery would run out faster than the ROKR's? I have no idea if the size of the phone affects either of those things.
