I've had Cingular for almost four years now without any problems whatsoever. I had T-Mobile before (or what was then Powertel and later VoiceStream), and they were great too. Now that they both use GSM, I think it's just up to personal preference as to which provider is better.

I've been without a landline for 2 years thanks to Cingular. I have total confidence in their service and I've never been let down. I've had nothing but excellent customer service with very friendly, courteous reps. Cingular has a 30 day trial, I suggest you try it and see how it works in your area before you commit.

Remember that you are still responsible for the minutes you use during the trial. Don't go crazy thinking your going to turn the phone back in before the bill's due.

I would recomend cing as well. Tmob and Cing are both GSM, however cingular atm uses both US based GSM frequencies and tmob only uses 1 of them.

Tmobile has great customer service but what about actual service? Leave and major metropolitan areas or more than 50 ft from a freeway in rural or mountain areas and you better be good with smoke signals if you want to communicate.

I always wondered why my Cingular GSM coverage was so much better than my old Powertel/Voicestream/T-Mobile coverage. As a matter of fact, I held on to my old Nokia 6340i as long as I could just so I would have the TDMA capabilities coupled with GSM. I knew that T-Mobile GSM coverage and quality was excellent, but the coverage outside of the metro area was basically non-existent and I wasn't really looking forward to that same problem with a strictly GSM model. When I got my Razr with GSM technology, I was pleasantly surprised that the coverage was just as good as my old TDMA/GSM 6340i.
Thanks for the info bbernie.

Agreed here !!! IUnfortunately I had 7 phone's with contract T-Mobile now, I can't go nowhere , but once it done on April .. I'll difenately go to Cingular >> reason below :
1. Larger Network , Less Drop calls.
2. Customer Service are getting better than befored as my friend work for them told me .
3. Better wireless technology than others carrier, 3g UTMC + PTT + Data
4. huge verieaty selection phone's than T-Mobile
