"To transfer songs from PC to my phone, I bought a SD card reader which costs about 25 or 30 dollars, then I can write songs onto the mini SD card from my computer easily."
I thought it was just me, but apparently alot of ppl are having the same problem.
Mine is i put the 32mb flash card into the celly, then i hooked up the usb wire bell gave me into my phone then into the pc usb port...
then my pc recognizes the connection as "Samsung CDMA technologies." it says it needs to install software from a cd, or sumwhere on the pc. It's searching, it ends up finding nothing. So i went to the Samsung website, and installed the software for the SPH-a920, its a .zip file, it ends up not working....I AM SO F'N PISSED...! I'M STILL NOT ABLE TO WORK THE MP3 PLAYER..! after i have had it for more than 1 month. In my package when i got the phone i have the mini flash card that actually fits into the cell, then there is this bigger "TRANSFLASH adapter." So in my mind i think i should not use the usb wire.. its a bs wire.. do i take the bigger trans flash SD adapter, and plug into my computer? (but where do i plug it in, theres nothing on my pc's hard drive to fit it). the flash chip fits into the trans flash adapter, is the trans flash the SD reader thing ur tlking about?
im so confused....can some one PLZzzzzzzzzz ! help me..
i specifically bought this phone because i couldnt afford a ipod, and i wanted a mp3 player, now im stuk with this great phone, but defective mp3 player...but i kno theres a way to make it work, i just dont know how

hey I had the same problem with the phone and the cord, apparently the data cord that comes with the phone is only good to transfer contacts etc. If you have the card reader plug that into your computer use the card reader and transfer your files onto the mini sd, then put your mini sd into the phone, you have to treat the phone somewhat like a camera!
Good Luck!

I had the same problem. I bought a SD card reader and plugged it into my USB port. My music is in yahoo jukebox. I placed the music in the playlist then go to edit to export the playlist to the port the card reader is in. I hope this helps you. Good luck.

You can purchase a flash card reader from most computer/electronic stores. These card readers usually can read most popular types of flash memory cards. It is usually plugs into your usb port and if your running XP there should be no problem with drivers. If runnning w98SE/ME you might have to download the driver from manufacturers website or install the included cd-rom. I've got a card reader for $5 CDN that install at the front bay of my CPU and can read six different memory card plus extra USB port. Before I bought the card reader, I even used my Panasonic camcorder that uses SD card, to transfer mp3's. Hope someone finds the driver for the USB cable for transfering pics/video and music.

Make sure that you first create a "Music" folder on the TCard first and then transfer your music to that folder.

I just bought the samsung a950 and seem to be having the same problem that ya'll seem to have.
I cann't seem to get the phone to play the music from the transflash memory card. Here are the steps I went thru:
1. installed memory card into phone slot
2. In "SETTINGS & TOOLS" opened "Manage Memory" opened "Save Options" opened "All" ok "Card Memory"
3. Removed transflash card and hooked up adapter to computer. Sync'd music from cd to playlist with .wma file. Sync'd to transflash card in "My Sound" folder.
4. Installed transflash card in phone. Opened "GET TUNES & TONES" opened "My Sounds" the music does not appear. Opened "My Music" also nothing.
Pressed the Play/Pause key, nothing.
What am I doing wrong?????????

Hi,
While googling for info on the Samsung A920, I found this forum. Several people are asking the same questions I did when I got my phone, so I thought I would add my two cents worth...
I'm on Bell Mobility ; this may not work as well if you're on a different provider.
There are two ways to get MP3s into this phone:
1) If you do not currently have acollection of MP3s, and/or want to buy them from Bell:
On the phone, click on "Menu" - "Music", and shop at the Music Store. Browse around and purchase the songs you want from Bell. You get the first song free, so definately explore this store!
2) If you have a collection of MP3s, and want to transfer them to your phone:
- Buy an SD card reader. (You can get one at almost any computer or camera store, or from the Bell World store itself for $20.) Plug the SD reader into the USB port on your computer.
- Insert the transflash memory card (from the phone) into the SD adapter, and plug that into the reader.
- Open up windows explorer. The SD card will look like another drive on your computer. Create a subdirectory on the card labelled "Music".
- Copy your MP3s into the "Music" folder.
- plug the transflash card back into your phone.
There are two ways to play your songs:
1) Phone Open:
- click on "Menu" - "Music" - "Player" - "All my music" and your songs should be there! Click on whichever you want to listen to.
2) Phone closed:
- hold down the Play button until it says "Music Store Running" ... in a few seconds, the music should start, though you have less control over which song to listen to.
