I have a Moto Razr. When I plug it into my computer & connect to Phone Tools, the phone tools V3 display screen displays an arrow with a red X beside it. The arrow is at the GPS indicator pointing to the phone reception signal, saying transmission cancelled.
I've been using Phone Tools for weeks now & it's the first I'm seeing this arrow. What's up with that & what do I need to do to remove it
I also observe that the screen keeps on displaying that I have unread SMS messages (on the Moto Phone Tools V3 screen).

No. As far as transferring music files and such, everything still works fine. I got the same error image tonight when I tried out MPT to check this out. Not sure what it is just yet, but it probably has something to do with the latest version and registering your software.
I'm going to see if I can get it to replicate after I've registered again. When I opened it initially, it prompted me to register. I thought it was a little strange, but I just clicked the later button because I had registered months ago. Then after everything came up, I got the error message with the blue up arrow and the red X.
*******************
It's got nothing to do with the registration process. Weird that I had to register again after updating to 4.04, but after I completed registration that option went away in the help menu.
I think it has something to do with transmitting and receiving email messages. If you've got a message in your outbox that didn't transmit earlier and your email is not configured on the software, it may cause the error. Still working on it. I'll see what happens.

Click on that menu icon, there should be a drop down--> setup--> F6 general setup-->communication-->modem exchange-> there should be a Motorola USB modem choose that-->choose form list--> on your left choose motorola GSM and on your right find your model--> finish now it should detect your fone again and should work

I tried what Old fool said a few times, but it did not immediately (if it worked). As I deleted the failed transmitted messages in my outbox, the error signal went. May be Old Fool can shed some light on this!

Thanks for the heads up. I deleted the failed messages in the outbox and the error icon went away too.

Old_Fool - Our phones are being recognized by our computers, the problem we had was that we were getting a "transmission cancelled" icon on the MPT program. It's not a problem getting the phones recognized by MPT.

Nothing. There was an email message in my outbox on my phone that never transfered (either because I've got it set up incorrectly or the data server was down at the time). When I started up MPT, on the Razr image it showed the error icon (blue arrow pointing up just below the signal bars and a red X next to the blue arrow). When I would hover the pointer over the icon it would say, "transmission(s) cancelled." It was the first time I had seen that error message. Maybe it's new with 4.04, because I had never seen it before.
