OK ..... I figured out why the error messages were popping up...so I downloaded a different version of optiflash for my phone. It completed the flash, but now the phone won't power on at all. Anyone know what to do here?? icon_blink.gif

I'm not an expert on phones but only thing i can think of is maybe the flash didn't work maybe you could try flashing you old firmware back on and seeing whether it works. and if it does then maybe the firmware your tryin to flash isn't compatible icon_wacko.gif

Well there is no old firmware b/c the phone was reading "Phone Locked Return For Servicing" and so that is why I was trying to reflash the original firmware to the phone. I was told this was the only way to get the phone to work ever again. However, the flash successfully completed, but it will not power on now. It won't even recognize the OEM cable, so I can't attempt a re-flash.

Thanks very much. I hope he knows what to do because I am at my wits end. I've been fighting with this phone since November of last year. UGH! LOL Samsung X models are great when they work, but when they malfunction, they are just about useless for anything other than a paperweight LOL. Thanks again! icon_smile.gif

Dead phones from flashing are common. And solutions are often more obvious than first thought.

Find another flash file. Maybe the one you got was corrupt.

Make sure it is correct for your phone

Fully Charge your phone BEFORE you start flashing it. In your case first remove the battery for 30 seconds thenreconnect. When charging it obviously will not show it is charging but it is really.

Now try and flash it again.

I know you have had a lot of trouble with this phone but sometimes something as simple as disabling a firewall will allow a full flash.

Well, here's what happened: I fully charged the phone previous to flashing. The flash software I used was specific to Samsung X427 model. I removed the battery for a little less than a minute before connecting to the OEM data cable. Once the flash started, it completed with no errors, no issues whatsoever. But, now the phone will not power on, nor will it recognize either the OEM data cable nor the charger....therefore, I cannot attempt a reflash. It is, for lack of a better word, "DEAD."
