My 6230 is recognized when I look up the Bluetooth connection from my D-Link DBT-120 but whe I highlight it and press "next" it says it cannot be authenticated. Do I have a setting wrong on my computer or phone?

Have you established a connection and entered a PIN on both devices?

Yes, I made the pin and confirmed it on my phone. I can send images from the phone to the computer using the options in the Bluetooth icon on the task bar. The computer error code reads "Cannot authenticate the phone."

And what do you expect to happen when you press "next"?
I don't know this software and what should happen when you click "next"... but if you tell me, what should happen it would be a great help.

When I am using the connection manager and am recognizing the phone it finds it as a Bluetooth device but when I select the phone it cannot authenticate the phone. Nokia phones can run on D-link Bluetooth right?

It uses WIDCOMM from D-LINK. I think it is the autentication that is the problem.

Having the exact same problem. I'm using the microsoft software. The nokia pc suite wants to authenticate the phone for some reason and is unable to. The phone and the computer do connect and can see eachother it's just the nokia pc suite that doesn't want to accept the phone giving that "cannot authenticate the phone". This message comes after the pairing is complete and you allow the pc to communicate with the phone.
