I also have a question (and I apologize for changing the subject). I feel that it isn't necessary to post a new topic about it so yea...

Anyways, I was wondering, if I were to switch phones (keeping my original tmobile SIM), would T-Mobile still be able to figure out what phone I'm using with the sim card? I mean like, can they track down that I'm using a different phone by figuring out the IMEI number or something?

If the answer t this questions is something that the general public of customers shouldn't know about, then just tell me haha. I've always wondering about this.

I switched from a Blackberry to a Samsung and all I had to do was take the SIM out of the Blackberry and put it into the Samsung. When I went into the T-Mobile site, I had to change my phone, and that was about it. icon_smile.gif

But the two phones that I use are the Samsung e730 and D600. Those two phones are not sold directly from T-Mobile, so will they still be able to recognize what phone I have? I mainly use the e730 though.

I know...but I meant that the customer would have to let customer care know they are switching phones and give them the IMEI to put in the database. we can't automatically tell if they switched phones
