OK. i just had my Treo 650 unlocked supposedly but when i place another carriers sim card, it says that "this phone cannot be used with this sim card". I dont know whats wrong. My carrier is cingular and when i received my instructions to unlock my phone, i did as i was told and i received a message "your sim lock has been removed". But its funny because i cant seem to place another carriers sim card without giving me the error stated above. I did this twice and i understand about having it done 5 times, it would lock your phone for good. What do i need to do? Is there anything i missed? The carrier sim card i was trying to use was t-mobile. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Probably your phone is still locked, or incorrect frequency is seted up, try to check the frequency

if cingular gave you the code, i'd suggest giving them a call.

you can ask the customer service of your Treo 650 she/he may help you regarding your problem =)

1 Insert Cingular SIM into device
2 Power on the device
- ensure phone is in wireless mode
3 Press the green Phone button
4 Enter * # * # unlock code #
5 Press Dial
- the device is now unlocked

I'm having the exact same problem. Cingular says that the phone is unlocked and T-Mobile says it should work and that they ahve other customers on their network using Cingular Treos. Any resolve in your case?

I have the same problem with a Treo 650 and changing it from Cingular to TMobile. Cingular gave me the code and it seemed to work and TMobile suggested I switch the SIM card out, which I did. Still no luck, that's why I searching the posting sites again. Aghh!!

There are a few online loggers that unlock the phone for around $20, just google it , you will get it.
