How to transfer zip or win rar files game files you download to your phone via midway
So you all probabbly download a game example:worms forts.jar but its .zip or .rar file.
Then you ask yourself how can I transfer this via midway or just how can I transfer this.
I have solved a problem or just figured how to do that.

First of all you will need some programs like winrar. You can find it here.
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
After you downlaod that you will need jad maker which you can find here
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Telephony-SMS-GSM/JADMaker.shtml
And you will need midway but probabbly you all have it just in case you don’t you can find it in
http://www.motoclub.com

before even you can talk about downloading games to phone you will need to enable java app loader.Follow this great guide How to enable java app loader.
This is step one so skip it if you have enabled java app loader.
Follow this excellent guide by Apristel.

If you still have problems refer to the getting connected section of www.themotoguide.com

Ok, there are numerous tutorials on the internet telling you how to get your computer to recognize your V3. Well, here's another one. This one is short and sweet, but very effective. Just to be sure, I just tried it on
a fresh PC & one that had driver issues.

Let's Begin....

First off, lets round up a few key things. Download each of these:

http://rapidshare.de/files/22660101/DriverTool.rar.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/22660071/newp2k.rar.html
http://rapidshare.de/files/19358714/devshowall.zip.html

Unpack the all the downloads, you'll need http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar351.exe or similar. Once you have those unpackaged, we can move on.

Sidenote:
This download of P2K Bezol has 2.9 P2K drivers included. This IS different from the other downloads available (motomodders, motox) on the interent, unless someone did the samething.

** If you have NEVER plugged your phone into the computer, please SKIP step 1. **

** If you HAVE plugged in your phone and tried installing drivers, but something went wrong, follow EVERY step.**

UNPLUG YOUR PHONE FROM THE COMPUTER!!

1. SKIP IF YOU HAVE NEVER PLUGGED YOUR PHONE INTO THE COMPUTER
Run the Device Manager batch app that you downloaded above (devmgr.bat that was in the devshowall.zip). Windows Device Manager will pop up. Click the view menu, and select "Show Hidden Devices". Now navigate to the Modems catagory, click the + next to it. It will expand. Remove all traces of Motorola USB Modem. Do this by right clicking over the item and selecting "Uninstall" Next, navigate to the Motorola USB Device Catagory (if its there), click the +, and uninstall everyone of the items in there. Finally, navigate to the Universal Serial Bus controllers catagory, click the +, and uninstall all "Unknown devices".

2. Plug your phone into the computer.

Windows will detect your phone.

3. XP will detect the phone, and prompt for drivers, direct it to
wherever you have them saved... (Check "Install from list or specific
location")

Check the Install from List or Specific Location box, and click next.

Click Include This Location In The Search, and Click Browse.

Now locate your bezol folder that you downloaded, you must have unpackaged it.
I unpackaged mine to the desktop.

4. Find the DRV folder within the newp2k folder, Click ok, and then finish out the installation.

Click Finish

5. Once the drivers are installed, unplug the phone, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in.

6. Run the Bezol P2K (p2ktools.exe) app on the PC

7. Your phone will now switch modes ..might take a few seconds..(you'll hear Windows sounds) and then it will prompt for more drivers. If it doesn't switch modes, try leaving your phone plugged in and turning it off and then on

(If it still didn't detect see the *** at the very bottom of this guide) Once again direct it to where you have them saved. (This is the SAME place as before) After it finds numerous devices, you're all set...almost.. Like I said it will find a few different things, but the drivers are all in that "drv" folder that was in the Bezol download.

If it doesn't switch modes and prompt for more drivers see the *** below (very bottom of this post)

**You might get a message pop up saying the target file exists (p2k.sys) and is a diff language than the source, ignore that error, and click ok.. Who knows why the drivers language matters? not me. **

Here is only ONE of the things it will find, there will be a few (MCU Logging, Test Command Interface, Accessories Interface) but they all use the same drivers.

8. Once its done installing all those devices, unplug the Phone from PC.

9. CLOSE P2K Bezol and RESTART the Bezol application;--very
important!!

10. Plug phone in and enjoy. You'll see in the bottom left
corner, it shows disconnected (RED DOT) Once you plug your phone back in, it will be Connected and show the GREEN DOT!

I also ran into issues where the cable was the culprit!! Just yesterday I
spent a good portion of my day helping user ANH - who found it was his cable causing the problems. The weirdest part was, you could fully flash using RSD with his bad cable, just the p2k apps wouldn't work. Cables are cheap.
Headaches suck.

*** If you cannot get p2k to get make windows prompt for the additional
drivers, close p2ktools and run rsd lite 2.x.. if you don't have RSD lite
2.x... Google is your best friend right about now. Upon installing RSD Lite,
Windows may ask you to install "hotfixes".. do so. I HIGHLY suggest
making sure you have SP2 (Service Pack 2 for XP). I'm not saying that this will solve your problem, but its always a good idea to have the most recent hotfixes and serivce packs.

This guide was originally posted on http://-edited-/ez4p9 by apristel[/b]

Step 2
Now we can go on step 2.
So you downloaded a game and it is in zip or rar file. You just don’t know how to transfer it.
In order to do this correctly you will need one jar file. You can find a games in jar files here
http://www.tvk-gaj.pl/~monastyr/voytas/e398/Giery/
So you now have a downloaded zip file and jar file.point with you mouse on downloaded jar file and copy it.Paste it in folder you want. After you pasted it rename it and put the name of the game you downloaded in zip or rar file.
Open your game zip or rar file you downloaded with win rar. After that don’t quit rar.Go to copy of jatr game file game file you downloaded and and point with right stick on your mouse and select open with choose a program. You will see a new window.Find win rar there. If you cant find it in window try manually by selecting browse. When you select winrar it will open your copy of jar files and show what is inside.
Delete all files in it but leave only one file example:
When I downloaded worms forts I had this inside:
Meta-inf
A class
B class
C class
Cooo.png
Cooooo2.png
Coo3434.png
And many other.
So I deleted every other file exept a class.A class I didn’t delete. You can leave whatever single file you want. Then transfer files from first winrar you opened to this one of jar file by selecting them all and just with you mouse getting them to a jar winrar.
You will see all files are transfered from zip game file to this jar file you opened with winrar. Now you delete a file I mean a single file you left in jar game file you opened with winrar. After you have done this big step close all programs I mean winrar. Now with jad maker create a jad file from copy of your jar file.Select midway and Yooohhhoooooo. You can transfer this games.

Hope it helped someone icon_biggrin.gif icon_wink.gif

The k1m is the CDMA version - most CDMA providers do not use java but brew on their phones - I would use google to find the details for this phone with your provider

In reply to Nokia post about how to get your computer to recognize your v3.

I have a v3C, everything worked except for the last driver, after the last driver was done it said your device might not work properly blah blah. Is this because the drivers are for the razr V3 only? Or can I use them with my V3C?

I have been trying for the past 2 weeks to get this to work so I can upload games to my phone, if anyone can help or point me into a good direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
