Does the procedure indicated also apply to c650? I followed each step, but everytime I run PST, the motorola modem suddenly disappears from my device manager! And when I try to read the phone after executing new kjava file, I always get the error "Please power cycle the phone again." Please help me. You can also email me at miong.baluyut@ph.netgrs.com. Thanks!

Hi Miong,
First of all, this is a T720 guide, and I am not surprised if it doesn't work for other devices.
Then again, for those warning errors you received, I would say it might be a problem with the phone's own firmware or the drivers incompatability. Please check one of the steps and see if you left out anything in particular.

Now, make sure all USB Composite Drivers are installed, and that you can see the Motorola USB Modem in your Device Manager. If you can't see it, there might be driver(s) that is still not installed. By right, when Windows asks you for the driver, it is the driver where you installed your Motorola PST, in my case C:\Program Files\Motorola\PST> . To make sure that all drivers has been installed, do the following step:
a) Close PST Phone Manager, if it's opened.
b) Unplug T720 from your computer.
c) Plug T720 back to your computer.
d) Start PST Phone Manager. At this point, Windows searches for any missing driver(s).
e) If windows ask for driver's location, just point them to the path I mentioned above. Please skip to step G directly.
f) If windows don't ask for the any drivers, this means all drivers has been installed, and you MUST be able to see the Motorola USB Modem in your Device Manager, very likely under the "Modem" list.
g) You must repeat step (a) to (e) to make sure that all drivers has been installed.

I really hope I can help, but the C650 is really outta my scope.
If you are really in a rush, I would suggest OTA as the better alternative.
Good luck.
Yow Chuan

Hi yowchuan!
Thanks for the reply. Before I was able to read you reply, I already had my problem solved! Since my PC has 3 usb ports, I used the second USB port for the enabling of the Java App Loader and it worked! The setup now is that when I use MPT, I connect to the first usb port, and I connect to the second one for games ulpoading. I don't know, but maybe there's some exclusivity in the use of the port number in MPT?
Anyway, my phone is already in the hands of the Motorola Service Center here in Manila, because after using this setup for a couple of weeks, my PC no longer detects the Motorola modem completely. Tried using it in other PC but the same problem exists. Thought ther's a problem with the cable or the unit itself.
Many thanks again for the reply.
