ok i got it working icon_biggrin.gif
after changing the ports around to no avail, i went into device manager and discovered that there were drivers that hadn't been installed (relating to my E398). I then installed them, and... what do u know? it works!
lol thanks anyway for trying to help icon_smile.gif

Sounds like you trying to play a game that wasnt made for your phone. In my phone, If I install a game that was made for nokia, it crashes. And if I try to play a game that was made for something with bigger screen like V600, I only see half the game (lol). So make sure the game is made for your phone.

Didn't think of that, I understand that as a compatability issue. Thanks alot for the help. Lastly any suggestions of where I can find T720 games?

After some hunting I got the links to the programs that helped me do what I needed and 2 of the programs needed for yowchuans posts. I found the way to get the pictures and ringtones on the phone. You use this first program to put the wallpapers and ringtones into a backup file, from there you use PST to upload the backup into the phone---As I've tested you don't need to create a back-up of the old ringtones and wallpapers because they don't get overwritten by the backup that M-services makes...But this was on the T720 I don't know about the other phones.

This is a message to those who experience the "opening jar file ..... [failed]" error message. I often experience this message when uploading games with MIDway.

I have worked out that the error is caused by an error in the JAD file. You need to open the JAD file using WordPad and then edit the line "MIDlet-Jar-URL:".

This line should read:

"MIDlet-Jar-URL: SpruceDriver.jar"

... or whatever the name of the JAR file is. Often the name of the JAR file is replaced by a website where the JAR file is. This is no good, you simply need to type in the name of the JAR file exactly and save it to the same directory as the JAD file.

I hope this helps some people.

Regards,

Niraj Patel.
