Have you change the jar file to jad? that is what a jadmaker for. Game often came in ther form of jar so you need to drop it in jadmaker to change it to jad file and then do you stuff.

Hey Yowchuan, and to Friends in this forum:
Your advice worked for me on my XP SP2 and I am very grateful for your posting.
I'd like to reiterate your points regarding "forcing an installation" which some of the readers might not have gotten well.
1. If something goes wrong, detach and re-attach the USB cable from your phone so that the Motorla Phone Modem will once again be detected and recognized by your system.
2. If in case your Phone Modem is assigned under a different Com Port outside the range 1-4, look for a device in your system, probably an Internal Modem (using Com Port 3 usually) or external Modem (either using (Com Port 2 or 4) and disable one of them (right click on the item on Device Manager) so as to free a Com Port.
Now after doing so, reboot. Go back to your Phone Modem and change its working port to Com Port 3 or whatever that has been vacated by the device that you disabled.
To check if your Phone Modem works comfortably on its new Com Port, launch Query Modem. Your PC will deploy a series of AT Commands to test the connectivity and once it says SUCCESS, then you're into the next phase. Restart your PST and Midway and follow Steps suggested by Yowchuan.
3. In the case of PST, at the part wherein it had to read the phone but it cannot, detach USB cable and reconnect then suspend the phone, click OK until th interface disappears. Click PHONE INFORMATION and wholla! - the PST suddenly gets connected and recognizes your phone and gives a description of your Motorola. RUN READ again! You'll see that the disabled menus of PST will all light up. You can start to SMILE if you get into this phase!
The PST is a one time application in enabling Java Uploader on your phone. In the succeeding attempts, it's only Midway that needs to be used to Upload a game unto your phone. So if you've gone through with PST Issues, you're off then to Midway concerns. Just go ahead - you can restore your Com Port assignments to the former since Midway recognizes a lot of Com Ports unlike PST.
4.So the lesson, if you can't get it right - just be patient. Play around with cable Plugging and Unplugging, software restarting, and options with regards to the com ports. You'd surely find a match after this trial and error. Hard at first, but there'a a lot of people who were able to make it.
Now it's up to you if you want to JOIN US PEOPLE who are currently able to Upload free games with ease on the Phone.
Good Luck!
Allan aka Blackstar
PS: I guess the next issue is with regards to re-sizing games to fit the Phone screen

Hi
I just follow the Yowchuan instructions, but the "TIME EXPIRED" message appears again and again
Im using: Windows XP SP2, PST 7.1.1, Midway 2.8, Motorola T720 cdma
That is what i did:
1) Installed the Motorola USB driver
2) Windows recognized my cell phone as a modem (MOTOROLA USB MODEM #2)
3) In my cell phone: settings/Java app/ Connect the cable-->Jal link is active
4)Start midway, configure the right port where my cell is located at that time, and also the AT command
5) i changed the MIDlet-Jar-URL: http://midlet.org/repository/softex/3dshooter/ThreeDShooter.jar?md=112
to.... ThreeDShooter.jar (also tried using the jar file route C:\3D - Shooter\ThreeDShooter.jar)
6) open the game file
7) TIME EXPIRED message appears
Please help me

Thats a good question...I have yet to find any forums or sites that will allow you to do such things to brew phones...thats a heads up to leading programers.

YUP, i got it working on xp sp2.
First of all thx to Yowchuan for the post.
Just like many other people i was getting TIME EXPIRED message, while using the midway.
After two days of intensive fighting with my computer (pluging, unpluging, installing drivers etc) i realised that this problem had a fairly simple solution (well for me, and i hope it will be for u too). If you go to Device Manager and look to the properties of your USB MODEM and then MODEM context menu. And them simply make sure that the MAXIMUM PORT SPEED displayed there matches the BAUD RATE in the settings of MIDWAY.
For me, after i changed that, everything worked out perfectly.
Good luck to everyone!
