Hi, I currently own a Tmobile RAZR v3 and it is unlocked. I have never been able to get the mobile web working on it, since I use cingular and the Tzone webaccess thing is not possible to configure (even after changing the offset of the middle value to 04 as detailed here http://forums.mobiledia.com/topic30504.html).
Since I am paying for mobile web, I am thinking of Flash/Flexing my RAZR to have Cingular firmware. Hopefully, the web will work at that point, right?
Anyways, I'm sure I will mess up during the flash/flex process and probably turn my $200 phone into a paperweight. However, if I somehow manage not too, will my phone remain unlocked as it currently is now?
Also, any packs you guys recommend? I was going to use the monster pack for cingular from motox.us

If your phone is already unlocked (and it must be if you're using a T-Mob phone on the Cingular network), then the Monster pack won't lock it unless it is a "locked" monster pack. Make sure to find one that specifies that it is "unlocked."
Flash it with this monster pack:
S/W Version: R374_G_0E.42.09R_MOTOX.shx
Flex Version: GSMV3MXCIN01NA0F5
Bootloader: BOOT0826
Language Pack: MXLP0001 US English
Video Recording: Capable

And then reflash the latest firmware:
R374_G_0E.42.0FR_B_reflash_mlp_MOTOX.shx
New Bootloader: BOOT0826
DSP Version: 62343400
Phonebook: Multiple Letter Search
Video Recording: Capable

The only thing that you'll lose with this monster pack is AIM. It didn't really bother me because I never used it with my stock flex, but I wanted to let you know beforehand. You'll still have an IM option, but you have to configure it to your settings.

The cell phone internet service is horrid. It makes a dail-up modem seem like broadband. It's almost excruciatingly slow.
Glad everything worked out for you.

haha, yeah, I know, it's bad, but it's nice to at least see if I have email and it's cool to waste time if I have to wait for something.
also...I was paying for it anyways

You're right. In a pinch, it's better than nothing. I like to track my selling items on ebay when I'm away from my computer.
