I have opened the above program but instead of saying Motorola phone [V3] as stated in the guide it just says Motorola device.
Is it ok to go ahead and flash it or is something not right?

i have tried to open up the flash and test command with the pst but it tells me that it could not load the flash program, where do i get this? where can i also get the pst 7.1.1

We aren't allowed to post links to it here. You have to use google I'm afraid. There should be a file called multiflashflex.exe in the pst folder - that can be used for flashing. However PST is pretty out of date now for flashing you really want RSD lite.
