Just bough a new k750i for my last money. I found out that k750i have a noise beep while recording. Is it possible someway to get rid of it getting new firmware or some java programs etc?? Very dissapointed with this phone if this isn't possible. And it is allowed to record without warning in my country.
Thanks
Mike

I presume its Video capturing not voice recording. If so the phone is new, so having such a firmware isnt likely. The days of free Video capturing is over in the SonyEricsson realm. The legal aspects have deliberated SonyEricsson to charge into this solution.

no it isn't the video but the voice recording while having an ongoing phonecall. Don't undestand why they it has to do such sound. In denmark and other eu countries it is quite legal to record phonecalls and meetings if just one know about it. And the one person is ofcourse the person who do the recording. It is 100% legal. In fact it is for most people wellknown legislation so there isn't any problems about it except that SE can't deliver a quality product. Neither they don't describe about it and when you buy a 750i the shopassistant just says that it probably of course is soundless.

all the walkman phones..w550i(being the cheapest among the three..),w800i,w900i(being the most expensive with megapixel camera and 3g enabled phone) i suggest u sell ur k750i and get a w800i some people say its almost the same but for w800i its better cause if its features. here are some experts with thier comments:
Difference Between K750i & W800i
1) W800i come with a 512MB Memory Card, K750i come with a 64MB (That's why the price is so different, but not worth it to pay for an original SE memory card right?)
2) W800i come with a plung-in earpiece(whatever its called), K750i come with a normal.
3) W800i come with a control device coz its a mp3 set & K750i doesn't but it can still play mp3 as the same. (I can introduce you to someone who sells it if you really wants it)
4) W800i can play its mp3 w/o a simcard but K750i has to. (You won't care about this because i bet you won't use your phone as a mp3 player w/o the phone function.
5) W800i Orange (Flashy colour), K750i Black (I personally think the black is real nice, that's why i bought it in the first place).
6) Finally, Price!!! W800i is so much more expensive!

Hi there,
Hope Sonyericsson simply wanted to stick onto the globally accepted or much popular rules, in some countries, according to what i've heard, and what i'm simply under, and for what i respect, recording a conversation via a mobile telephone, should be after the acceptance of the parties concerned. If you're conferencing wih six mates or business clients, the consent of all six participants is required. A Solitude acceptance isn't what is needed, but a group of acceptance. Any way , SonyEricsson, has done the same thing with Video or Image Capturing, they donot let you record or snap without a noise rather indication.
But in their earlier models like the T300 series, this option you wanted is a fact of availability. Recording with no Beep, or you could even play a small amr audio file in the background while the call is in progress.
Happy Day!

For the K750i, it doesn't mean to be a Walkman phone, like the W800i. SE wanted W800 to work as a phone as well as a walkman. Today Walkmans, or rather mp3/music players are featured with 40GB+ hard disk space(Like on Samsungs HDD concept), hence W800 has done the least with featuring a 512mb. But you could still upgrade it to a higher one. Into the numerics in 1000s of MegaBytes. K750 is a bit on to the formal lot. Executive characteristics planted in it.
But if you do really want some sort of Executive Characteristics planted and then enriched with due care, then i bet for the P series of SE. The latest P990 is indeed a great breakthrough. It supports external cards of upto 10GB.

My K750 does not make beep sound while recording. If you want, I can give you its firmware but you will first have to tell me how to do that:-)
