Hi, new to this malarkey of forums!
Wife has found that her navigation button has stopped working on her V3 phone.
Error message something like - Voice dial empty
and the phone does absolutly nothing, will not receive texts or send.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!!!

You could try flashing with a monsterpack. However if you have any warranty flashing will invalidate it so if you do have warranty use it

The voicedial being empty is just not having any voice names set in your phone book. Most likely if you store all your contacts to SIM or just never set voicedial names thats why, as far as not receiving texts or messages of any kind, not a hardware issue consult a sales rep for your service provider and ask them to check up on it.
**Note**
*Monsterpack is a recovering software pack consisted of both a flash/flex to restore the phone to stock*

I interpreted this as he gets the message whenever he pressed the navigation button which implied to me the voice record button was "stuck"on - but I could be wrong

When switching the phone on the phone does nothing except give the error so guessing the key is stuck down but wife says it clicks etc but has no effect. So maybe a sticking key beginning to look like a warranty problem now.
