Yes looking for some opinions, my friend was just given a brand new Motorola Razr v3 originally branded a cingular phone. He paid to have it unlocked so he can use it with his Tmobile sim. However when he installs the tmobile sim the screen on the phone says searching for service but never connects. Everything else on the phone works fine ! Unfortunatly He lives on the other side of the country so i can't look at the phone personally for him, but he feels its broken and plans on selling it ! What do you guys think the problem is ??????
Many Thanks in Advance !

Try going into Network Settings and changing the Band.
Since Razr is possible to be quad band, switch through 900/1800/1900 and 850.
That was it with my L6

Wirelessly posted (Gizmo: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/hspr-H102; Blazer/4.2) 16;320x320)
Chances are the network setting is not set to itls country network. There should be an option on phone to have it set automatically or if he knows the exact mhz, set ut to that.

Not all bands are necessarily enabled - it may be necessary to seem edit to get all available or just use a t mo flex which will enable the necessary bands and will probably be preferable to a cingular flex on a t mo phone anyway
