I'm confused ... Baltimore and Washington were listed as 2 of the intial 15 UMTS areas, so why wouldn't be available in these markets?
Also called a few stores in Columbia and Glen Burnie this afternoon. Got the same answers: end of Feb/early March to April to I don't know.
Quite frustrating.
I'd take just a pure GSM phone that was reasonable and offered the same capabilities as the Samsung and LG, however, all offerings now are missing SOMETHING I want.
And bosstl is right ... they are selling UMTS/HSDPA data cards around here.

if your waiting for a UMTS phone for that specific "data while you talk" connection you are gonna hafta wait... if you dont use data at all why wait?

huh?....who would be interested in 3g phone without interest in data?
