hey, im just wondering how i can boost my reception in my house because it always drops my call. I found this somewhere:
A much lower cost option is to take a glass mount or suction cup vehicle antenna and attach it to the outside of your window. Attach another antenna to the antenna cable with a coupler and place it in your room.
The inside antenna will act as a passive repeater and will transmit through the outside antenna with better service. You can get antennas fairly inexpensively. Just be sure the db gain on the antennas match.
I learned this trick from an engineer who does it to get better reception in buildings made on mineral based materials. (concrete and steel and aluminum)
would that really work? and what do i purchase and from where? because i don't want to spend $500 on a repeater, and i just want service in my room doesn't need to be in my whole house. thanks

in theory it would...
but if you are in an "urban canyon" (lots of high buildings around you) the wire would have to be higher than the buildings to get the signal

you are going way to far with this whole reception problem, try getting one of those reception boosters antennas (u put it under your battery) Not for sure they work but you can always try it out. Their not that much
