hi everybody, got my daughter a V3 phone about 6 months ago and after surfing the net found this great forum and enabled Video recording amongst other things including flashing with a monster pack from motox
Now when switching on the camera or video the screen is all distorted and has lines all through it, im thinking hardware and she has admitted dropping the phone several times! (bloody kids)
Anyway this is a contract phone and is still under warranty, now my problem is i cant send it back in its present condition. So is this a simple software problem i can solve?
Otherwise i see there is a new monsterpack posted at motox which is branded Orange which luckily is the correct service provider, so i was thinking of flashing with this and if the camera is still broke sending it back
do you think this is feasible or would i get found out?
Or alternatively is there a way i can wipe the phone completly, and then just say the phone has died and hopefully get a replacement?
Sorry for such a long post, just throwing ideas out there. Any thoughts suggestions greatly appreciated

I would try the Orange monsterpack, also be aware this is a common problem if the phone is somewhere cold or dark.
If you still have a problem flash with a reflash file for your original firmware (if you know what it was - it may say under the battery) and try the warranty route - if you don't I wouldn't worry about it too much - I haven't heard of anyone being "found out" for flashing - so long as the flex is Orange branded its doubtful they will even check.

lol... you got your daughter a v3 razar? she's one lucky kid... wish my parents spoiled me like that when i was a younger.
anyway, i woud try something else before wiping the phone. a friend of mine did that so he could get a replace one and they found out somehow. Guess its worth a try if you cant think of anything else. He didnt get in any kind of trouble for it... just coudln't get a replace.

If you have the warranty just report it stolen. My friend had a Motorola phone, he messed it up when he tried to do something to do, he could not send it back because they would notice he messed with it. I reported it stolen and got a free phone, the same one. However they did block the IMEI number, the phone was unlocked but it would still not work with any sim card. My friend had T-mobile and they only replace your phone twice a year with warranty. Thats a way to stick it to the man. You must be a very wealthy man to just buy your kids RAZR's like that.
