Hey Guys, Cool forum!
Anyway my question is this. I am aware that the E1 can only hold 100 songs. So can you hold the 100 songs in a 128mb memory stick? Or do you have to have the 256mb? And if you cant hold 100 in the 128mb, how many can you hold in it?
I have looked everyware I know to look for the answer.... Any help would be great!!!
Thanks!

1.28 Mb isn't much for a song - even 2.56 Mb per song isn't very much.
Have a look at the typical size of your songs and work it out from there

It is exactly to do with your question.
at 3 Mb per song 100 songs = 300Mb so 128Mb is nowhere near enough
What is the typical size of your music files?

Look at how big your songs currently are (lets say 5mb as an example). If you have 100 songs thats 500mb of storage space you would need (or a 512mb mem stick).
Or lets say you had a 128mb mem stick. That means that to get 100 songs, each song could be no more than 1.28mb. I dont know about you, but I dont have any songs that are that small.
128mb will yield about 25 songs at best and thats pushing the envelope.
Good luck!!

Yes, I bought my phone off of ebay and it came with only a 128mb card. I can only get around 25 songs on it sadly. I wish the larger cards weren't so expensive

what the makers of some mp3 player do is "play with the math"... ipods for instance..show a bitrate of 96 but sound like a 256...
