Hi Jomak,
I am trying to find a program like Gspot that can read .3gp files and report the bitrates used but so far no luck. If such a program was found then it would offer a clue to the bitrates used by Mobile media maker, I hope you don't end up wasting your money as from what i have read over at vcdhelp it may be a bit buggy.

So Jelly,
For other phones they bundle a full screen player? You are saying that the SLVR no matter what won't give you full screen? Is there another way, besides this program, and besides the phones internal menu settings, to get it to play full screen?
I don't wanna waste my money on the program and the more I think about it not being in full screen the less motivation I have to keep up my quest of getting movies on there.
I still like the phone but now I think it's mainly cuz of the looks I get on the subway. That'll wear off - then what?
3/17/06 is when my 30 days is up - you best believe I'll have my eyes peeled for other options!!

Hi Jomak,
from what i can tell it's the player that does the full screen part. On some phones you have an option to go full screen but alas it seems with the SLVR pre installed player this isn't an option. If it were possble install a Java based video player then i guess it may be possible but that's another issue.
I too love the look and feel of the phone, MP3 sound pretty good and if i can nail this video sync issue it will do what i want from it but they don't show you all the faffing about you may have to do in the ads do they

Hmmmm, you may be on to something here. Let me look that up. If I could get a seperate video player then I'll be good to go. But does that then mean that it won't be 176 X 144 resolution?
In any event, I read that link to the mobile media maker reviews and I see where someone was issued a refund. If it doesn't work and I can get my money back then I don't mind being out $30 for a lil while. Maybe if it works I can sell some DVD to SLVR movies for like a $1 a piece to reccop that.

I think the screen is classed as 176 x 220. As for Mobile media maker, looks like you have a fall back it it doesn't do what you want. I tried the demo and used the V3 / SLVR profile and it produced a standard size video. I checked out the menu options while running the video on teh phone and there is no full screen or rotate so it has to be the player that doesn't support it.
Good luck and happy hunting

It is the board - I think its because too many people were PMing the moderators asking for help rather than using the forum correctly.
A classic case of the minority ruining it for the majority.
